The via313 Story — Pizza With Purpose
Via 313 was founded with a single obsession: bringing Detroit's iconic square pizza to the Lone Star State. Inspired by the authentic pies from Detroit's working-class neighborhoods — thick, airy dough pressed into well-seasoned steel pans, blanketed in cheese all the way to the caramelized edges — we set out to share something truly special.
Our via 313 pizza carries the soul of Detroit in every bite. We named ourselves after Detroit's famous area code as a tribute to the city that gave us this extraordinary food tradition. From a trailer in Austin to multiple locations across Texas, our mission has always stayed the same: serve the most authentic, most delicious Detroit-style pizza you'll ever taste.

2011
The Trailer Dream Begins
Via 313 launches as a food trailer on South Lamar in Austin, TX. Two brothers with a passion for Detroit pizza and a beat-up trailer start serving squares to curious Austinites.
2013
Word Spreads — Lines Grow
The via 313 pizza trailer becomes one of Austin's most talked-about food spots. Long lines form nightly, and local press takes notice of this Detroit-style sensation in Texas.
2015
First Brick-and-Mortar Location
Via 313 opens its first permanent restaurant in East Austin. The expanded menu, full bar, and welcoming atmosphere cement the brand as a true Austin staple.
2018
Expansion Across Texas
New locations open in multiple Texas cities. The via313 brand grows while staying true to its roots — every pie still made with the same care as the original trailer days.
2021
10 Years — Still Square, Still Proud
Via 313 celebrates a decade of Detroit-style pizza in Texas. A limited anniversary pie is released, and the community shows up in force to celebrate the milestone.

Round Rock & Beyond
